End of Life Choices Report
On 23 August 2018, the Joint Select Committee on End of Life Choices tabled their extensive report, which spent 12 months enquiring into whether legislation should be introduced to allow for voluntary euthanasia or assisted suicide. A link to the report can be found under 'Resources' on this page.
I consider this an incredibly important issue to our community and I want to make sure that I consult widely with as many people in Mandurah before arriving at any decision about how I might vote on any legislation.
As part of this, I encourage you to take the time to read the report as I will be doing. This is an intensely personal matter and we must make sure the debate in our community, as it happens over the coming months, should be as respectful as possible.
I need to hear your feedback, which you can do so easily by filling in the form below. I will also be holding a range of community meetings, telephone canvassing and door-knocking. The views of the community are paramount in my decision on how I will vote and as such, I encourage you to please let me know your feelings on this matter.
Have your say.
